Digital Global Food Summit 2021

Welcome to Foodtropolis!

The future is a state of mind, and it has a name: Bioeconomy. Today, we are where we would never have dreamed of being ten years ago: We produce edible proteins, from Co2, bacteria and energy, we produce lettuce in space or in polar ice, and we can use artificial intelligence to predict future flavors and thus sales markets.

So, are we at the dawn of a bioeconomic age? This question will be discussed with politicians, start-ups, companies and scientists from all over the world during the Digital Global Food Summit organised on April 28th and 29th. From Singapore to Bangladesh, Israel, the Netherlands and the USA. Start-ups can present themselves on our new live platform and join the discussion.

For the first time, we are also running the Digital Global Food Summit with our new partner, the German Institute of Food Technologies (DIL) from Quakenbrück, which will contribute to two live sessions.

And we are equally looking forward to working with Innovate Osnabrück, in the start-up space, and the Bavarian Food Cluster, which will be joining us digitally with its new series of events, “Way To Future Food."

The Global Food Summit will take place digitally and will be broadcast live from the Wagner Salon at Theresienhöhe in Munich.

The Global Food Summit organized a national competition with the university of Khulna in 2020 for the students of all universities in Bangladesch.

Ramisa Nowshin, Fabliha Bashashat Rodosy and Rahagir Salekeen from the Khulna University applied and won the competition thanks to their research papers.
It was first planned for them to participate to the Global Food Summit of 2020 which was unfortunately canceled because of the corona crisis.
We are happy to announce that they will participate to the online version of the Global Food Summit on April 28th & 29th this year.
The Khulna University strives to create a knowledge-based just society and to create a transformative educational experience for students, faculties, and researchers focusing on poverty eradication, food and nutritional security, environmental sustainability, socio-economic well-being and climate resilient development through judicious management of natural resources.
